RAYNHAM - June 24 - The Raynham Select Board approved the annual Raynham Community Day celebration and made dozens of volunteer appointments during their June 24 meeting at Veterans Memorial Town Hall.
The board unanimously approved a request from the Raynham Association of Volunteers for Education (RAVE) to hold the annual community celebration at Gazebo Park on the Borden Colony property on Sunday, Sept. 28, with a rain date of Sunday, Oct. 5.
"As with our other community projects, RAVE will work closely with our Raynham police and fire departments as well as our highway department," the organization stated in its letter to the board. The group took over organizing the traditional event three years ago after a two-year hiatus following the retirement of longtime organizers Kevin and Shirley Ellis.
